My Garden

Rainbow sloshes
filled with galoshes,
I open up my eyes.
Filled with flowers in my garden,
ladybugs and butterflies.
The sun rises, and so do I.
My dog gets up,
my cats get up,
my puppies get up.
The bell rings for morning.
My mom gets up.

(She wrote this right before she turned six)

You should send these poems out...Are you on Allison's list-serve?

I've been submitting poems almost exclusively to journals she forwards my way. Send me your email again...

(Mine is: mcguenette@gmail.com.)

AJ sends submission opportunities almost daily; I'll forward them to you. Another place to check out is Web Del Sol (webdelsol.com...I think). They have lists of links to both online and hard-copy journals. I went through their lists last week and sent out about 10 submissions...

Hope you're doing well, Ruth. August learned to roll over last week, so that's the big excitement around here...

...And thanks for your kind words in my last post. I took your advice, did a little more writing...It felt good.
